John Bowe is one of the country’s most successful touring car drivers, with Bathurst victories, national championships and more than five decades of racing success.
📍 Nelson Bay Bowling and Recreation Club (parking available on site)

📍 Nelson Bay - Apex Park, d'Albora Marina carpark, Government Road, Magnus Street, Stockton Street, Teramby Road, Victoria Parade and Yacaaba Street.

Road Closures
The following road closures will be in place on Sunday 12 July 2026 between 6am and 4pm:
Government Road - from Church Street/Government Road roundabout to roundabout Government Road/Teramby Round/Victoria Parade
Magnus Street - between Yacaaba Street and Stockton Street
Stockton Street - between Donald Street and Government Road
Teramby Road
Victoria Parade - from roundabout Government Road/Teramby Round/Victoria Parade along Shoal Bay Road to Magnus Street
Yacaaba Street - between Magnus Street and Government Road/Victoria Parade
Soft Road Closures:
Local residents who reside in the listed streets below, will be granted access by traffic management controllers:
Church Street through to Laman Street
Government Road to Laman Street
Victoria Parade residents will be able to access their properties under guidance from traffic management controllers.
Residents in Nelson Towers will be able to access their properties under guidance from traffic management controllers.
Parking
Parking in the surrounding streets around the event is limited. Land rate payers are entitled to apply for a parking permit through Port Stephens Council. Please adhere to the signposted times as they still apply.
Nelson Bay Bowling Club is allowing the use of their carpark during the day.
A shuttle bus will operate throughout the day. Pickup point will be at the bus stop located at Salamander Bay Shopping Centre and drop off at the corner of Laman Street and Government Road. A return shuttle will operate with pickup from the corner of Laman Street and Government Road and returning to Salamander Bay Shopping Centre. It is expected that the shuttle bus will depart every 15 minutes.
A designated disability 'stop and drop' car space will be assigned on the corner of Yacaaba Street and Magnus Street. Unfortunately this space is not able to be parked in all day.
Spectator Entry
Spectator entry is free.
The local RFS will be onsite on the day, so if you are able to make a gold coin donation to the incredible team, they would be very grateful!
Wet Weather
In the event of wet weather, the car show will be rescheduled within 90 days of the original event date.
